Our office enjoys the opportunity to get to know your child before he or she may be ready to actually sit in the dental chair for the first time. Often, we encourage parents to visit the office with their young children before their scheduled appointments. When parents or older siblings are scheduled for routine dental care, it is a great time for younger children to become comfortable in their future dental home.
The majority of children in our dental practice are seen by Dr. Axelrod, or Dr. Diane as most of her young patients know her. She has developed a strong following of families that recognize the importance of having one dentist to meet their entire family’s dental health needs.
A mother herself, Dr. Axelrod is extremely patient and understanding with young children, apprehensive children, and children with special needs. She feels it’s important to be honest with her patients and listen to their concerns and interests. Creating this positive relationship fosters a relaxed atmosphere at the dental office, which both young patients and their parents always seem to appreciate.
Dr. Axelrod’s goal for the children in her dental practice is for them to have positive experiences. She strives for them to grow up being comfortable in a dental office and learn about their own oral health, setting the stage for them to have excellent dental health throughout their life.
